About this space

Not just a house, but a complete sensory submersion. Consider this as your own "little Biltmore Estate," except add in waterfalls surrounding you with the soothing sounds of cascading water. Take it from past guests, you simply won't want to leave for almost any reason after you arrive. But we implore you to visit Max Patch only five miles up the road for an unobstructed panorama of undeveloped, layered, Blue Ridge Mountains. Features include custom home perched above cascading waterfalls. 38 windows and skylights. 1 adjustable queen (master) + 1 Full-Size bed (atrium) for 2nd couple. Inside you'll find hand crafted designer furniture, leather sofa, plush linens, new appliances, TV, internet, 10 speaker Sonos sound system, modern kitchen, color-changing lights and more. Outside there is a BBQ, full-featured hot tub, a gigantic deck system, 4 fire pits, and a swinging patio daybed. Near Max Patch, Hot Springs and Asheville!

The space

There is literally a prominent feature just about everywhere you look. Inside the house, the windows and skylights bring the landscape to you from every angle. The bedroom garage door window, when open, will give you the appearance of a 1000 sq ft. bedroom! The atrium daybed is a glorious place to read while gazing at a 270 degree view of nature. All the furniture was hand-crafted by the owner from the best selections of wood. The Sonos stereo system packs 10 speakers and you can create your own ambient soundscape. Do you play music? Well leave your instruments at home there are excellent ones here - acoustic and electric guitars, bass and amps. The deck square footage goes on forever so relax in multiple areas for a different experience every time. Get into the hot tub at dusk and watch the boulders and waterfalls all around you light up when the sun goes down. Water is flowing everywhere from the top of the property to the bottom. Some of the waterfalls will leave you breathless. Take a seat on the grass or any boulder and lose yourself for hours on end. Hike up and down the property. Sleep outside under the transparent patio roof on a super-comfortable swinging day bed, or sit for a while on the swinging bench. Enjoy meals and/or drinks, including cappuccinos or lattes from our deluxe Keurig, directly above the falls on the lower deck. You may never want to leave!

Guest access

There is ample parking both before and after the bridge that spans the creek. With four wheel drive you can park up the driveway hill just under the house. Be careful of the rocks/boulders to each side - it may not be worth scratching your car if you're not watchful. If you park and unpack below (recommended) there's an uphill climb to the house plus two sets of steps before you reach the front door. Therefore, kindly leave your grand pianos at home it's just not going to be worth the trouble. (There is a keyboard available for your playing enjoyment inside)

Pets

There is a one time pet fee of $75.00 for up to two dogs. Kindly add $25 for a third. (maximum number of 3)

About the Owner

By trade I was a legal recruiter from NYC and relocated to Asheville/Western North Carolina in 2014. Since 2019 I've dedicated myself to crafting the landscape you see before you, and without any sort of machinery -- just my hands, some shovels, weed whackers, and a few chainsaws. Every boulder you see in the photos was literally covered with soil and weeds just waiting to be reborn with some digging. In the Summer, 2023 the property will be opening as "Over Waterfalls," a wedding and event venue, and where you can enjoy yourselves in as an Airbnb while it's not in use.
